Even beginners can crochet a stack of beaded bangle bracelets without pre-stringing beads! The pattern is easy to follow and customizable.

GAUGE: working around the wooden dowel, 1in|2.54cm = ~6 rnds of 6 beaded sts.

  • YARN: Knit Picks Curio #10, 2-ply crochet thread, (#0, Lace Weight), [100% Mercerized Cotton; 721yds|366m per 100g|3.5oz ball], in color of choice, 1 ball.

     

    HOOK: 1.00mm

     

    BEADS: Miyuki, size 6/0 Rocaille seed beads in color(s) of choice, ~30 – 40g|1.05 – 1.41oz of beads.

     

    OTHER TOOLS & NOTIONS:

     

    • Wooden dowel, .25in|0.63cm diameter, 10 – 12in|25.4 – 30.48cm length.

      o not substitute a straw in place of the wooden dowel. Straws are not sturdy enough and often collapse under the work which can cause the tube that forms your bangle to be deformed and uneven.
    • Tape measure
    • Tapestry needle size 18 or 20
    • Small sharp scissors
    • Optional: small piece of sticky (Scotch) tape to attach to the tape measure if you are measuring your own hand. See the How to Measure the Wearer’s Hand section
